Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day!! Now before I start telling you about all of the fab music to accompany this day, let it be known that this day can be celebrated with or WITHOUT a loved one. Yes, most people celebrate today with their significant others, but your family loves you, and so do your friends. So please take today to love everyone. :)

Okay so every one loves a good love song and here are a few artists that REALLY now how to express how they feel. Alot of these artists have many albums out, so check them all out. Total fab!

Here are the artists, and MY favorite love song by them:

Vivian Greene: "Emotional Rollecoaster"

Maxwell: "Womans Worth"

Chrisette Michelle: "Love is You"

Anthony Hamilton: "Charlene"

Alicia Keys: "Butterflies"

Justin Timberlake: "Till the End of Time"

Please be aware, listening to these songs may cause some tears (lol!) so have a box of tissues close by. And again, some of these songs are not always related to a significant other. Afterall, the greatest love, is the love you have for yourself.

Enjoy the day.

January 24th, 2009

Hello!!
I am SO sorry for my lack of posting about the awesome music I enjoy everday. Over christmas break I had no internet access(which was a nice change), but now I'm back in action!

So everyone knows the most popular music genres like Pop, Punk, R&B, Jazz, Soul, etc. But have you ever heard of Dubstep? WELL! Dubstep is a type of electronic up beat dance genre, and it is growing more popular as time goes on.

When I first heard about dubstep music I was totally not into, but as time goes on I'm really starting to enjoy it. Some of the remixes with dubstep are extremely bananas. A few important artists in the Dubstep industry are:

Skream:

Benga:

Chase and Status:

If you are someone who is interested in techno music then dubstep is your style. Or, if you are into remixes of popular songs by artists like Cascada, and Lady Gaga, then again, dubstep is definitley for you!
It's a very different style and is not like anything that is out on the radio or playing in the night clubs. so PLEASE! Go to the links above and check out some music samples!

Until next time!

December 28th, 2009

So, Christmas is all said and done. But now comes the best part of it all, playing with all of my new toys. As I noted in my previous post, I am obsessed with The Sounds, but as I continue to listen to their station on Pandora..Tegan and Sara pop up. These two twin girls, are such an amazing duo..there's no way that you can't relate to their music. They make sure to add the truth while adding fun into their music as well.

Tegan and Sara's new album Sainthood was released recently, and I'd have to say that it is one of their best cd's. I am a die-heart The Con fan, but Sainthood is definitley on my list of favorite albums.

These two canadian ladies have certainly made their way into the popular indie scene. They sing their hearts out and play the hell out of guitars, all the while being sisters in the end. We know they play well in our cars, but how about a live show? Well..I have been lucky enough to get Tegan and Sara concert tickets for Christmas, so stay tune for a March post for a review of their concert. The additional acts for the concert are Holly Miranda and Steel Train:

Steel Train:

Holly Miranda:

I have not had a chance to listen to either of these artists, but that will be my homework for this week and I will make sure to get back to all of you! I trust Tegan and Sara and their taste of music, and I'm sure Holly Miranda and Steel train will not fail me either. In the meantime, go ahead and pick up Sainthood and give me any feedback you have.

Until then..

December 24th

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE EVERYONE!!
So, as I write this blog I'm, of course, listening to music. What am I listening to? Well, Pandora. The station is The Sounds.

This band is absolutely phenomenal, and like something I have never heard before. They speak the truth, which an eclectic sound, and you can dance to it. Ha, who doesn't love to dance right? They're from Sweden, and they are getting bigger and bigger as time goes on. Their new album Crossing the Rubicon is already out. Unfortunately, with all of the holiday craziness I haven't had a chance to buy it. If you have, please let me know if it's phenom.

Well Christmas is tomorrow, but that does NOT mean that you can not continue to listen to holiday music. So here is my list of favorite Christmas singers:
*Christina Aguilera
*Josh Groban
*Kelly Clarkson
*N'Sync
*Straight No Chaser

I mean, my list could go on forever and ever. I truly love Christmas music.

Also, Some really good albums came out lately:
Rihanna: R Rated

Alicia Keys: The Element of Freedom

Chris Brown: Graffitti

One Republic: Waking Up

Mary J. Blige: Stronger (With Each Tear)

Leona Lewis: Echo

Switchfoot: Hello Hurricane

So please, please PLEASE check them out.

I enjoy all comments about any new music or artist out there. And I will listen to every suggestion!
